107.7 The Bronc WRRC-FM

Located on the campus of Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ, 107.7 The Bronc WRRC-FM is a 20-watt, Class-D, non-commercial radio station licensed by the FCC to the Board of Trustees of Rider University and exclusively run by students and overseen by a General Manager/Student Adviser. 107.7 The Bronc has gained recognition from many credible organizations. The Bronc has been awarded with the highly lauded National Association of Broadcasters Marconi Radio Award for College Radio Station of the Year as well as the International Broadcasting System Media Award for Best Radio Station and Best Morning Show.

Students at the station polish their public speaking, leadership and management skills, while also learning about the fields of radio broadcasting, sports broadcasting and now podcasting and the changing medium’s landscape, where skills in promotion, marketing, engineering and business are also highly valued. From promotions and programming, production and social media, students on the station’s executive staff hold the same professional positions as that of a commercial radio station.

107.7 The Bronc broadcasts two radio stations from our new, digital broadcast studios to provide more learning opportunities for our students. 107.7 The Bronc WRRC showcases our many student run shows including our award winning morning show Wake Up Rider. On WRRC, the shows are not only audio, all content on 107.7 The Bronc is live on video thanks to our new PTZ cameras, vMix and Restream. 107.7 The Bronc Retro WRRC2, is Rider University's super oldies student-run online radio station. We go back in the day, every day, playing classic hits from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s!

Broadcasting over the airwaves and online, Rider’s radio station, 107.7 The Bronc, provides a creative outlet for over 125 students each year and produces some of the campus’ biggest and most popular events such as the Halloween drive-in movie and trunk-or-treat Scream Screen, the 74 hour fundraising Radiothon, and the springtime Eggscellent Egg Hunt where students have a chance to win over $40,000 in prizes including two HDTV’s, a Royal Caribbean cruise to The Bahamas courtesy of Josh Harry Travel and, a 2.5 carat diamond pendant from Peroni’s Hidden Treasures!
