CARES Act Funding Disclosure

Rider University recently signed the Funding Certification and Agreement Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act. Rider received $3,648,210 in CARES funds and will disburse 50% ($1,824,105) to students in emergency assistance.

Beginning on May 12, 2020, Rider University began disbursing the initial round Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act funds to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students during the term of disbursement who are Title IV eligible based on their Expected Family Contribution (EFC). These funds are intended to assist students with expenses related to the disruption of campus operations caused by the pandemic, such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care and child care expenses.

As of July 10, 2020, Rider University had approximately 3,300 students eligible for assistance and we awarded 2,509 grants totaling $1,575,400. This information will be updated every Quarter.
