Scholarships and grants can help reduce the cost of attending Rider University and generally do not need to be repaid. Rider offers institutional scholarships, federal and state grants, and other funding opportunities for eligible undergraduate, graduate, transfer, and continuing education students. Eligibility, application requirements, deadlines, award amounts, and renewal requirements vary by program.

Eligible New Jersey students may qualify to have their remaining undergraduate tuition covered after applicable federal, state, and Rider scholarships and grants are applied. Eligibility requirements and covered costs vary, so students should review the full program details.

Outside scholarships can help reduce the amount you and your family need to pay for your education. These scholarships are offered by organizations outside Rider University, including nonprofit organizations, foundations, employers, professional associations, community groups and private businesses.
Each scholarship provider establishes its own eligibility requirements, application process, deadline and award amount. Carefully review the requirements before applying and submit all requested materials by the stated deadline.

- BigFuture Scholarship Search - The College Board’s BigFuture Scholarship Search allows students to search and filter thousands of scholarship programs. Students can search by eligibility characteristics, award amount, field of study, and other criteria.
- Scholarship America - Scholarship America is a nonprofit scholarship administrator. Its student portal lists currently open and upcoming scholarship programs and allows students to filter available opportunities.
- Fastweb - Fastweb provides free personalized scholarship matching for high school, college, graduate, and trade-school students. Students create a profile to receive scholarship matches. Fastweb states that its research team reviews opportunities before adding them to its database.
- Scholarships.com - Scholarships.com provides free scholarship searching and matching for high school, undergraduate, graduate, adult, and other student populations. The site states that scholarship listings are reviewed and updated regularly.
How to apply
Step 1: Apply for admission
Submit an application to Rider University. Most admission-based merit scholarship consideration begins with the admission application.
Step 2: Complete the FAFSA
Complete the FAFSA annually to be considered for federal, state, and need-based institutional financial aid.
