Community College Agreements
Rider has formal partnerships with a select number of community colleges. View the articulation agreement for your college and sign the "Intent to Enroll" form during your first 30 credits to take advantage of this benefit.

Transfer Credit Policy
The exact number of credits that will transfer will vary depending on your program; however, Rider recognizes most equivalent course work from accredited colleges and universities. In general, for any class to be eligible for transfer the course must meet the following conditions:
- A grade of a “C” or higher is earned
- The course was completed at a regionally accredited institution
- The course is 100 level or higher*
- The Dean’s Office in each school has final approval of transfer credit
- If you attend a community college in New Jersey, you can also review credit transfer information at the NJ Transfer site.
*Remedial and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are not transferable.
Education and Liberal Arts and Sciences Majors
- Maximum amount of 60 transfer credits are accepted from a community college
- Maximum of 90 transfer credits are accepted from a four year institution.
- A student must complete their last 30 credits at Rider University in order to earn a Bachelor’s degree in an Education, Liberal Arts, or Science major.
Business Majors
- Maximum amount of 60 transfer credits are transferable from a community college
- Maximum of 90 transfer credits can be transferred from a four year institution.
- A student must complete their last 45 credits at Rider University to be eligible for a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
School of Fine and Performing Arts
- Maximum amount of 60 transfer credits are accepted from a community college
- Maximum of 90 transfer credits are accepted from a four year institution
- A student must complete their last 30 credits at Rider University in order to earn a Bachelor’s degree in an Education, Liberal Arts, or Science major.
- Many of the majors in the School of Fine and Performing Arts requires an admission audition or interview.
- Elective or major credit may be given for music courses taken at another college or university.
Westminster Choir College
The exact number of credits that will transfer will vary depending on your program; however, Westminster recognizes most equivalent course work from accredited colleges and universities with the exception of music courses and credits. Music credits from any other college or university are not accepted.
