Choose from the following areas of specialization based on the your career path of interest. Each concentration leads to a nationally recognized credential that will differentiate you in the job search process.
Most students will be automatically enrolled in this popular program that provides a foundation for a career as a financial advisor, broker, financial planner and more. Students in this concentration are encouraged to take the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam during their senior year prior to graduation. Finance-Accounting double majors are permitted to enroll in this concentration at their discretion.
Students interested in a career in security analysis and portfolio management are encouraged to enroll in this concentration along with the Concentration in Private Wealth Management. This program is specifically designed to prepare students for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 Exam. The CFA designation is globally recognized by employers and investment professionals.
This program prepares finance majors for careers in corporate finance that utilizes skills in both finance and accounting. Corporate finance is used by both financial and non-financial firms and by investment banks that help firms raise capital. Students in this concentration are encouraged to take the two Certified Management Accountant (CMA) examinations prior to graduation.
This program is designed for students interested in the many careers requiring knowledge of finance as well as strong marketing skills, including banking, investment banking and insurance.
The concentration is available to finance or marketing majors in the Norm Brodsky College of Business. Students majoring in finance are required to complete 12 credit hours in marketing coursework.
Students may choose one of four specializations within the finance major: Concentration in Private Wealth Management, Concentration in Investment Analysis, Concentration in Financial Management or Concentration in Financial Services Marketing. Our 120-credit program focuses on core business principles and strategies.
