Graduates of this program will be well-prepared to explore various related career pathways including arts education, arts management, theatre historian, playwright or dramaturg.

Program requirements

Our program is designed to develop the multi-hyphenate artist of the 21st Century. Students will learn from professionally active faculty and, throughout the curriculum, engage in a wide range of courses including collaboration, contemporary theatre, playwriting, directing, devised theatre, and other areas of performance and production. They will also have the opportunity to pursue professional internships and take on leadership roles on productions during their time at Rider, making professional contacts and gaining real-world experience.
