Major Requirements

The criminal justice major blends theory with applied learning to provide students with a broad understanding of the justice system. Our multidisciplinary program features coursework in economics, political science, psychology and sociology.

Rider’s criminal justice degree paves the way for a range of career possibilities in law enforcement and law-related professions including corrections, court services, juvenile justice, law enforcement and rehabilitation services. Flexible Options for Adult Learners

Rider also offers a version of this program tailored to fit the busy schedules and learning needs of non-traditional, adult learners. Designed for working professionals in the criminal justice fields, as well as career changers who seek a position in the criminal justice field, Rider’s B.A. in Criminal Justice program for Continuing Studies students lets busy adults gain the skills and credentials to advance – while balancing both their career and family life.
