Captivate audiences and make an impact on audio media platforms of the future with Rider’s B.A. in Radio and Podcasting. As a student in the Department of Communication, Journalism, and Media, you’ll study the secrets behind creating a dynamic studio production for radio and podcast in small, hands-on classes in Rider’s state of the art digital radio studio and the new broadcasting facilities, home of the campus radio station.
Beginning your first year, you’ll gain valuable experience and become proficient in every stage of the production process through opportunities to produce and direct radio and podcast programs and work in Rider’s state of the art broadcast studios with our Marconi Award-nominated, professional, and student-staffed radio station, 107.7 The Bronc.

Rider is where your future begins. First-year students are defined as recent high school graduates who are attending college for the first time. There are so many opportunities ahead. Take the first step towards your tomorrow at Rider.
No matter where you began your journey, Rider has the resources you need to continue moving forward. At Rider, transfer students are defined as students who are under the age of 25 and have credits from another college or university.
Rider offers flexible pathways for adult learners aged 25 or over, including veterans and active duty military personnel, that allow you to earn your bachelor's degree or take courses for personal enrichment. Non-matriculated or visiting students should apply using the Continuing Education application.
As a student in the radio and podcasting program, you’ll develop a rich background in radio broadcasting, podcasting and other forms of media through theory-based and hands-on coursework in audio production, writing, media fundamentals and more.

Rider's Department of Communication, Journalism, and Media offers one of the most extensive communication internship programs anywhere. Because Rider is located in a media-rich corridor densely populated with communication outlets as well as major corporations and nonprofit organizations. opportunities usually outnumber available students.
