The MGC serves as the umbrella organization for individual culturally-based Greek organizations at Rider University. The purpose of this council is to provide a space for Multicultural Greek students to participate in Fraternity & Sorority Life at Rider by striving to meet the needs of and highlight the uniqueness of these students. At Rider, these organizations are historically Latinx and seek to promote the interests of Latinx students on campus.
This council is aimed at creating an all-inclusive and culturally diverse environment, by fostering cultural awareness and upholding fraternal and sororal values. Each member organization of the MGC has a specific cultural basis, which is the defining quality of this council. Although each fraternity and sorority within the MGC has an individual cultural focus, none of the member organizations are culturally exclusive by any means.
