Due to COVID-19 Pandemic

Based on ongoing state and federal recommendations to reduce the spread of coronavirus, Rider University announced that all Summer I courses would move to remote or alternative instruction. As we cannot deliver this course remotely, we are canceling it for this year. We very much hope to see you next year.

The SAFD Theatrical Firearms Safety Course is a 14-hour, intensive, hands-on workshop that takes participants through extensive training in nomenclature, legal regulations governing theatrical firearms, practical experience in maintenance, safe handling practices and procedures for theatre and film, coordination of theatrically effective and safe performance techniques, and the opportunity to choreograph and perform basic firearms combat sequences with fellow participants, and concludes with the two part SAFD Firearms Safety Test. This course will be taught by Fight Master Ian Rose.
