Rider’s online MAcc is designed to fast track your career in accounting or help you break into this growing field. Career-focused concentrations and certificates

During your time at Rider, you will have a dedicated academic advisor who will help you select the electives that will match your career aspirations. You may choose to complete a concentration or certificate to supplement your accounting knowledge. Concentrations include business analytics, finance, information systems, sport management and forensic accounting. With just one additional course, you can add a certificate in business analytics, sport management or forensic accounting to your degree. You may also choose to use your electives in a more strategic fashion, so you build the unique skills and knowledge to take you where you want to go in your career.

Common careers

As a graduate of Rider's industry-aligned program, you'll demonstrate the technical competencies and interpersonal skills valued by leading firms and will be prepared for the CPA or other accounting licensure or certificate exams.

Program requirements

Our 30 credit online MAcc program focuses on meeting you where you are. Credits required vary based on your undergraduate degree and grades. Students with a background in accounting can waive up to 15 foundation credits so you can start building on your knowledge right away and may complete the program in one year.

Don’t have an accounting background? Get up to speed with 25.5 credits in our foundation courses (depending on your undergrad major) that will give you a solid accounting background on which to build your advanced knowledge. 

The program fulfills the requirements for CPA licensure. The MAcc curriculum has a practical focus on technology, and its impact on accounting, to equip graduates with the business analytics and communication skills necessary to succeed in today’s accounting profession.
