CHARLOTTE NEWCOMBE SCHOLARSHIP

Today, adult students comprise a large portion of the enrollment at most colleges and universities, with a majority of these non-traditional students being mature women. In 1981, the Newcombe Foundation created scholarship programs for returning or second-career women who were seldom able to qualify for financial aid. For over 35 years, Rider University and the Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation have awarded scholarships to hundreds of mature women students.

Undergraduate degree applicants may be enrolled as a part-time or full-time student. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of clarity of career goals, financial need, and academic record.
