Students are invited put their leadership and team-building skills to the test on Sunday, April 15, when they race across the Richard A. Coppola Pool — in cardboard canoes.

Junior Journalism major David Pavlak is one of just five students selected by the New Jersey Press Foundation to receive a competitive paid internship with a newspaper this summer. Pavlak, of Bloomingdale, N.J., will spend eight weeks working for The Record of Woodland Park.

This was the University’s first year to compete in the competition where university-sponsored teams that research and analyze a designated publicly traded company, prepare a written report and then present their findings to a panel of judges.

Working as a production coordinator for the NFL Network, Kelly Dixon ’10 spent a good part of February in Indianapolis covering Super Bowl XLVI and the annual NFL Scouting Combine.

Rider’s School of Education launched a new Master of Arts program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) for the 2011-12 academic year. This new program replaces what had been only a concentration track in the Counseling Services graduate program.
