Grants & Research at Rider University
Rider University values collaboration and partnership with a variety of external constituents to further the goals and objectives of the Rider faculty and to enhance students’ educational experiences. To this end, the University has officers in place to act as resources and liaisons as faculty and administrators pursue grants from corporations, foundations and government sources.
Rider Community members interested in pursuing external support for institutional initiatives will find it helpful to consider several important factors:
Before actively pursuing or applying for a grant:
- Contact a Grants Officer. Each of the offices listed below manages grants on behalf of the entire university. Not only can these individuals provide guidance, they also act as relationship managers and maintain records on various organizations’ giving history with the University and ensure only one proposal is submitted at any one time to the same funding organization.
- Review Grant Procedures to ensure you are following University policies.
- Plan enough time for institutional approvals, budgetary requirements and other processes in advance of the grant deadline.
- Considering attending a Rider-sponsored grant workshop.
