
Rider University has partnered with eCHECKUP TO GO, which was developed by psychologists at San Diego State University, whose mission is to provide students with personalized, evidence-based online behavior intervention programs designed to empower students to make healthier and responsible choices. As part of the comprehensive prevention program for students, Rider’s Alcohol/Drug & Sexual Assault Prevention Education Program (ASAP) invites you to complete the e-CHUG and e-TOKE, programs. These online courses will empower you to make well-informed decisions about issues that affect your college years and beyond.
e-CHUG
e-CHUG: The electronic “Check-Up to Go” is a brief, self-assessment that provides you with accurate, detailed and personalized feedback on your use of alcohol, and specific information and helpful resources at Rider and surrounding community.
The feedback is personalized to each student, and provides feedback about:
- Individual drinking patterns
- Specific health and personal consequences
- Unique personal and family risk factors
- Campus and community support and emergency services
- Allows students to consider how their Alcohol use fits in with personal goals
The program’s primary goals are to:
- Reduce levels of dangerous and destructive drinking on college campuses
- Strengthen a culture of safety and health by reducing harms and providing customized links and information about Rider and local community resources.
Cannabis eCHECKUP TO GO “e-TOKE”
e-TOKE: The electronic “THC Online Knowledge Experience” is a brief, self-assessment that provides you with accurate, detailed and personalized feedback on your use of Cannabis, and specific information and helpful resources in the Rider University community. The Cannabis eCHECKUP TO GO for Colleges & Universities is a personalized, evidence-based, online prevention and intervention program designed to reduce use among college students. It is designed to help motivate students to reduce their level of Cannabis use using personalized information about their own behavior and risk factors.
The feedback is personalized to each student, and provides feedback about:

- Allows students to consider how their Cannabis use fits in with personal goals
