The Westminster Choirs
Westminster is renowned for its outstanding choral program that includes multiple ensembles performing a broad range of repertoire. All students have unparalleled opportunities to perform on a professional level on campus and in touring and runout performances. The Westminster choirs are open to all students at Rider University, with some ensembles open to members of the greater Rider community.

Westminster Choir
Tyrone Clinton, conductor
Setting the standard for choral excellence since 1920, the Westminster Choir is composed of sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduate students selected by audition. The ensemble’s 2025-2026 season includes a series of concerts across the tri-state area.
Westminster Symphonic Choir

Westminster Symphonic Choir has performed and recorded with many of the world’s leading orchestras. It is made up of students and alumni of Westminster Choir College who are brought together for special performance opportunities including performances with symphony orchestras in New Jersey and New York. Singers must have prior choral experience and are held to a high level of musicianship and artistry.
Westminster Jubilee Singers

Composed of students selected by audition, the Westminster Jubilee Singers is modeled after the historically acclaimed Fisk Jubilee Singers. Part of Westminster Choir College’s Sacred Music Department, the ensemble performs literature that includes African-American spirituals and folk songs and classical music by African-American composers. Also explored and performed are works by non-African-American composers who have composed and/or arranged music of the African-American experience.
Westminster Chapel Choir

The Westminster Chapel Choir is composed of first year undergraduate students at Westminster Choir College and other Rider University students by audition. Chapel Choir takes its name from Westminster’s rich history of leadership in the field of sacred music. The ensemble has evolved over the years, and today its repertoire includes both sacred and secular works.
Westminster Concert Bell Choir

This auditioned ensemble is designed for those with prior ringing experience. The ensemble’s 2025-2026 season will include Holiday concerts on campus in Gill Chapel, An Evening of Readings and Carols at Princeton University Chapel, and a Spring concert series.
Westminster Concert Bell Choir II

This choir is designed to teach new ringers the basics of handbell technique and artistry and is open to all students at Rider university. The ensemble meets for two hours each week and performs occasionally at on-campus concerts. Contact the conductor for more information about learning to ring!
Rider Chorale

The Chorale is comprised of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of Rider University who love to sing. The ensemble presents a wide variety of repertoire including light classics, newly composed works, and music from Broadway in two annual concerts. Contact the conductor for more information.
