For students who would like to enroll at Westminster Choir College of Rider University:

  1. Review the application requirements and deadlines for Rider University.
  2. Submit your application to Rider University via the Common Application.
  3. Select your specific major below to view individual audition/interview requirements and next steps.

Please note, students applying for a double major in both Music Education, B.M. and Voice Performance, B.M. must prepare the Voice Performance, B.M. requirements from the list below.

Virtual Audition Note

Students participating in the February virtual audition only are required to submit a supplementary video on their Be-A-Bronc Application Dashboard.

  • This video must be recorded with a live accompanist.
  • In the video, students will sing 2 songs from their audition repertoire clearly from memory.
  • Videos are due at least 48 hours prior to the virtual audition date.

This video will not be used in place of the virtual audition, but as a supplement in case there are difficulties hearing during the live virtual audition. We will not use the video in place of an audition. If a student submits their supplementary video and does not attend the virtual audition, this will be counted as a missed audition and no admission decision will be made.

If possible, the university prefers that students have a live accompanist with them for their virtual audition. This is better for sound quality. If students are not able to provide an accompanist for themselves, they should be singing over a quality piano recording.
