Departmental Honors and Awards

Honors Program in English

Qualified majors may apply for honors in their senior year. A student must have a 3.25 cumulative average and a 3.5 average in English. Upon approval from the English Department, a candidate for honors enrolls in ENG 497: Advanced Study, writes a thesis, and submits it for departmental approval. The student must achieve a course grade of B+ or better to graduate with honors in English.
