The award is given to the freshman history major in the first-year seminar who shows exceptional contributions to seminar discussion and excellence in historical research.

Gary A. Carskaddan Prize

Fall 2024 Winners: Ben Collins

The Carskaddan Prize is awarded to the History or Education/History major who, with 12-21 credits in history courses at the end of the previous semester, had the highest cumulative grade point average in history courses. Winners receive a cash award.

Awarded to the student who has written the best paper in Philosophy.
