About the program
Tomorrow’s Teachers is an elective one-year course for high school students designed by the Center for Education, Recruitment, and Retention in South Carolina. The purpose of the course is to provide high school students with an opportunity to actively explore the teaching profession. Students enrolled in the program have the option of earning college credits from Rider. This allows them to enter their desired undergraduate education program with the knowledge and skills to succeed.

Course Format
Students take the Tomorrow’s Teachers course at their high schools and participate in a series of 13 online discussions covering a variety of topics, issues and trends in education. Some topics may require students to read or view accompanying material, including TED Talks, blog posts and journal articles. For every topic, students are required to respond a minimum of two times via the discussion board on the course's online learning management system.
Earn College Credits
Students enrolled in the program have the opportunity to earn three college credits. These can then be applied to the undergraduate education program of the student’s choosing.
