This online master of music in sacred music program is designed to meet the needs of practicing church musicians unable to matriculate in the on-campus program. Explore new paths toward liturgical excellence and spiritual depth through this interdenominational program. Broad and comprehensive in design, it focuses on the practical side of making music and developing leadership skills in a community setting.

Graduates exit our program with the blueprint to strengthen their church music ministries having enhanced their musical knowledge and skills. Each week, millions of people around the world worship in churches - large and small - with music programs led by Westminster Choir College graduates.

Curriculum requirements

Our broad and comprehensive curriculum offers students a chance to focus on the practical side of making music. Courses focus on practices that respond to the various cultural forces that continue to transform the ways in which worship is accomplished in the 21st-century. 

Our pedagogy-based track is delivered entirely online with the exception of one 3-week period 
during the summer of the student’s choosing.
