President Mordechai Rozanski delivered his annual Town Hall address on April 29, declaring that the University is doing well and that despite the fiscal challenges of the Great Recession, Rider is poised to end the year with a balanced budget.

Rider University’s Independent Scholarship and Creative Activity Presentations Day will showcase the outstanding academic and creative work of more than 60 undergraduate students on May 4.

It was a celebration 50 years in the making. Switlik Hall, one of Rider’s original residence halls, celebrated its 50th birthday on Tuesday, April 26, with a barbecue, a fountain of molten chocolate and a birthday cake bearing the image of Switty Switlik, the building’s official mascot, courtesy of Fedora Café of Lawrenceville.

The landing page of Rider University’s newly redesigned website has been selected as an official honoree in the category of Best Home/Welcome Page in the 15th Annual Webby Awards, the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet.

You’re invited to a birthday party commemorating the 50th anniversary of Switlik Residence Hall on Tuesday, April 26, from 4 to 6 p.m. in front of the “building of honor.” The half-century celebration will include a barbecue, a chocolate fountain and a birthday cake to remember, courtesy of Fedora Café of Lawrenceville.

If the mercury is rising and the trees are budding, it must mean that Rider baseball is near the top of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference standings again. Join the team for its April 26 game against Fairfield, which has been designated a Code Cranberry game. All students, faculty and staff are also invited to attend the 3 p.m. game at Sonny Pittaro Field, where they can also enjoy free hamburgers and hot dogs.
