Two top awards included among the total

Rider University recently won 16 awards, including two first-place finishes, for its marketing and communications work. The awards — resulting from three annual competitions — cover print, digital and interactive media.
“These awards are the culmination of our team’s hard work, which furthers Rider’s reputation as a premier university,” says Associate Vice President of University Marketing & Communications Kristine Brown. "We compete against institutions both regionally and nationally for these awards. I am so proud to see our team's work recognized among such elite competition."
The University received five CUPPIE Awards from College and University Public Relations and Associated Professionals:
- Gold for Rider magazine’s Fall ’21 lake feature illustration
- Silver for the Newcombe Scholarship video and for sports photography
- Bronze for Rider magazine’s Fall ’21 issue and Spring ’21 cover
University & College Designers Association tapped Rider for three awards:
- Award of Excellence for rider.edu
- Silver (in tandem with outside agency 160over90) for a Rider University brand video
- Honorable mention for the university’s freshman inquiry email campaign
Rider also received eight Educational Advertising Awards:
- Gold for the Inclusion at Rider video
- Silver for the Graduate Admissions video, Newcombe Scholarship video, and History of Slavery webpage
- Bronze for the student viewbook, and mailer and recruitment pieces
- Merit award for the Rider Arena Project video
Thousands of entrants were considered for the awards, judged by professional marketing and advertising directors, writers, photographers and designers.
The awards continue Rider University’s history of industry honors in marketing and communications.
