The September 17 EOP Barbecue will benefit the EOP Community Advisory Board Book Award.
by Sean Ramsden
Come out for a day of fun in the sun at the Rider University Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Barbecue on Saturday, September 17, from noon to 4 p.m. on the Campus Mall.
All proceeds from the EOP Barbecue will support the EOP Community Advisory Board Book Award, which benefits Rider EOP students in need of additional funding for books.
“We want everyone to come out and enjoy some great food and fun, and it’s all for a great cause – putting books into the hands of students who need them,” said Rubin Joyner, director of EOP.
Tickets for the barbecue are $20 per person. Children 6 years and under eat free. RSVP by September 12 by registering online at http://alumni.rider.edu/eventregistration or by calling the EOP office at 609-896-5381.
Students, faculty, friends, family members and the general public are all welcome at the barbecue, according to Joyner.
The rain location for the event is the Mercer Room, inside Daly Dining Hall, on Rider’s Lawrenceville campus.
