Westminster Williamson Voices Treble Ensemble performs Andrea Ramsey’s tribute to the Suffrage movement.
Composed to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, Andrea Ramsey’s Suffrage Cantata captures the struggle for women's right to vote through women's voices, piano, strings, and percussion. It seamlessly blends lyrics and narration based on the words of the women on the front lines of the Suffragist movement with historical images and footage.
Stay after the performance for a talk-back with composer Andrea Ramsey.
