Join us for three days of ringing at Westminster!
On Saturday, August 30, Sunday, August 31, and Monday, September 1 (Labor Day), alumni of the Westminster Concert Bell Choir will be getting together to prepare challenging repertoire to share with current Westminster students and the public at a concert performance on Monday, September 1, at 2 p.m. in the Yvonne Theater in the Fine Arts Building.
*Rehearsals will be on stage in the Yvonne Theater
*Performance will be in the Yvonne Theater
Please register by June 30.
As in previous events we ask each registering member to commit to all rehearsals on all three days.
This will help in solidifying assignments.
Conducting/Repertoire Proposal
Included in the registration form is a section for those wishing to propose to conduct a piece! Our theme of the concert will be “With Gladness”, focusing on the legacy of Kathy Ebling Shaw and her dedicated service to the Westminster Concert Handbell Choirs.
If you are interested in conducting, please include a PDF of the piece where prompted. We’ll be limited to a maximum of 8 pieces. Concert selections will be determined by level of difficulty as well as selections that will create the most well rounded concert.
There will not be a budget for purchasing music. Music will be provided by the conductor or from the WCC Handbell music library. Once registration is closed we will let folks know how many copies will be needed and can assist in finding extra copies if necessary. If you would like to peruse the WCC Handbell library, please email Gillian Erlenborn to establish a time to meet.
Socials/Meals
On Saturday, August 30 we’ll hold a potluck lunch at a location TBD.
In the registration form you’ll be asked to mention some of your favorite places in Princeton. On Sunday, our plan is to head into Princeton for dinner!
On Monday, we’ll explore what the Rider Campus has to offer.
Cost
While the event is free, we invite participants to make a donation to the Westminster Annual Fund or Westminster Scholarship Fund!
