Where Gifts are Needed
Rider University relies on the generosity of alumni and friends to be a premier institution of higher learning. Your investment in Rider University on the Lawrenceville Campus helps to ensure future generations of Rider students are provided a quality educational opportunity. Likewise, your investment in Westminster Choir College, on Rider's campus in Princeton, helps to ensure that future generations of music students are also provided a quality educational opportunity. You can make a difference through endowment, scholarships or giving to capital projects. Gifts to these areas allow donors to specifically target needs for which they hold a special affinity. Naming opportunities are available at many levels that allow donors to add their names to the University's legacy in perpetuity.
Gifts to Rider University's endowment for the Lawrenceville Campus or the Westminster Campus will help to ensure the University's investment in a living and learning community. Gifts to the University's endowment can be used to support a variety of purposes such as an endowed scholarship, or to capital giving.
Rider University maintains a tradition of providing financial assistance for students who demonstrate academic achievement or financial need on both its campuses. Currently, over 97 percent of Rider students receive some type of financial aid. Scholarships funded by individual donors, corporations, foundations, and organizations provide essential support for this critical area of need on both campuses. For more information, please contact Katie Smithem, Associate Director of Leadership Giving, Scholarships at (609) 895-5589 or [email protected].
Capital gifts support a wide range of specific funding needs on both campuses. While capital gifts are most often in the form of cash or securities, they may also include gifts of real estate, appreciated property, limited partnerships, and a variety of planned giving options. Capital gifts can also be paid over a period of several years. A capital gift is usually one that is earmarked for a specific project, such as a building, professorship, fellowship, scholarship or program.
