More than 200 students have received assistance since its launch in October
More than 200 Rider University students have been able to continue their academic journeys despite unexpected financial hardship thanks to the Presidential Hope Fund, which has awarded $425,000 since its launch in October 2025.
The fund, which was established by President John R. Loyack, CPA, MBA, provides immediate financial support to students whose education may be at risk due to unforeseen circumstances. The Presidential Hope Fund assists with the replacement of essential personal belongings, travel costs related to death or illness in the immediate family and healthcare expenses not covered by insurance, among other emergencies.
“For many students, one large expense can derail their academic career,” says Loyack. “This fund can alleviate unnecessary stress and allow them to concentrate on their studies. We’re proud to have given so much already and look forward to continue to do so in the new academic year ahead.”
Students can apply for funding using this form. Applications are reviewed on an individual basis.
