Due to the winter storm this weekend, Rider University will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26. Classes will not be held and only essential employees are required to report to work on Monday. Those employees will be notified by their supervisors.
Classes for the spring semester will now begin on Tuesday, Jan. 27 and be held remotely given the uncertainty of the storm’s impact. Classes will resume as normal on Wednesday, Jan. 28.
Employees are encouraged to work remotely on Tuesday, Jan. 27 if they are able, excluding AFSCME personnel. Only essential employees must report to work and will be notified by their supervisors.
Move-in information
Students are strongly encouraged to delay moving into their residence halls until Tuesday, January 27, between noon and 7 p.m. Students unable to move in during that time, will be able to do so on Saturday, Jan. 24 between noon and 7 p.m. Please check your Rider email for more information regarding move-in.
Dining will operate on the following modified schedule:
- Daly Dining Hall will be open on Saturday, Jan. 24, Sunday, Jan. 25 and Monday, Jan. 26 from 9:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
- Wendy’s: 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. (Saturday, Jan. 24, only)
- The Market: 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. (Saturday, Jan. 24 only)
- Starbucks: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Saturday, Jan. 24 only)
All dining retail operations will open for regular business hours beginning Tuesday, Jan. 27.
