Cruise one of many big prizes at 107.7 The Bronc’s Eggcellent Egg Hunt 2
On April 12, more than 8,000 eggs will be strewn over the Campus Mall as part of 107.7 The Broncs’s Eggcellent Egg Hunt 2. The eggs will be stuffed with 16,000 pieces of candy and 1,000 prizes worth over $12,000, including a Royal Caribbean cruise for two to the Bahamas.
"It's so exciting to know one lucky Rider University student will find the egg with a three- or four-night Royal Caribbean cruise for two inside," says John Mozes, general manager of The Bronc. "No student should go home empty handed. They will have the opportunity to also find andwin gift certificates, gift cards, tickets, baskets, candy and more."
In addition to the egg hunt, there will four petting zoo stations featuring baby chicks, bunnies, sheep and mini goats, as well as crafts and games for students to play to win additional prizes. Activities including balloon darts, egg bocce, cornhole and much more.
The fun kicks off at noon, with the egg hunt beginning at 12:40 p.m.
Food and refreshments will be provided by several local establishments. There will be Italian ices from Captain Paul’s Firehouse Dogs, pizza from DeLorenzo’s Pizza On the Go, beef verde nachos and chicken wonton tacos from Applebee's Grill and Bar, Izze Sparkling Fruit Juice from Pepsi, homemade flavored potato chips, popcorn chicken and fruit kebabs provided by Rider Dining Services by Aramark, and various snacks and bottled water from Sam’s Club.
This is the second year the radio station will hold the egg hunt. Last year, more than 800 Rider students participated in the inaugural event, and Mozes said he is hoping more than 1,000 will join in the fun this year.
Located on Rider's Lawrenceville campus, 107.7 The Bronc is exclusively run by students. Last year, The Princeton Review named the campus radio station as the 15th best college radio station in the country. Rider’s radio station was the only one in New Jersey and Pennsylvania to be included on the list. It was also awarded the best college radio station in New Jersey by the New Jersey Broadcaster's Association.
The egg hunt is part of 107.7 The Bronc’s “Semester of Vacations,” where students have the chance to win three vacations from Vacations by Stacy. The first of the three excursions given away this semester was a weekend getaway for two, awarded at the Dessert Wars: Let Them Eat Cake Bake-Off on March 21 at Daly Dining Hall. During the Cruising from Commencement contest, not only will one lucky Rider University graduate drive away in a new 2017 Toyota IM courtesy of Team Toyota of Princeton, but will also get to take to the open waters on a six- or eight-night Royal Caribbean cruise for two to the Caribbean.
