Cybersecurity Students Earn Second Place in Regional Competition
Rider University students earned an impressive second place among 11 teams from across the eastern United States in the Capture the Flag (CTF) Cybersecurity Competition at the CCSC Eastern Conference, held October 9–10 at Bowie State University. Team members Dhruv Sethi, Ritvik Sajeev, Tanmay Agarwal, Vu Phan An Nguyen, and Nakul Mittal demonstrated outstanding technical skills, problem-solving, and teamwork under the mentorship of Dr. Jay Luo. This achievement highlights the strength of Rider’s cybersecurity program and its commitment to hands-on learning. Learn more about the program in this ONNJ news feature on hands-on cybersecurity experiences at Rider University.
Mathematics Students Excel in MAA Competition
Eight Rider mathematics students participated in a competition organized by the Mathematical Association of America at Ramapo College. Among the competing teams, Jayden Humphreys, Emily Hehir, and Rose Pavely earned an outstanding fourth place among 30 teams. In the individual rankings, Jayden Humphreys, a mathematics major, placed eighth among 90 students, demonstrating exceptional mathematical ability and problem-solving skills. We congratulate all our participating students on their achievements and are especially proud of their success in representing Rider University.
