College of Liberal Arts and Sciences welcomes 3 new faculty members

Three new faculty members have joined Rider University’s College of Liberal and Arts and Sciences for the start of the fall 2017 semester.

Dr. Bonnie Lehet will teach introductory math as an acting assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics. Lehet holds a bachelor’s in computer science from Rutgers College and a master’s and a doctorate in mathematics education from the Columbia University Teachers College. Her teaching interests include the issues and opportunities for students to learn mathematics, particularly those who are not mathematics majors.

Dr. Emily Pelletier begins at Rider as an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminology. Pelletier received a bachelor’s in comparative literature, American studies from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, a master’s in public policy and management from University of Southern Maine, a Juris Doctor from the University of Maine School of Law and a doctorate in criminal justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice of the City University of New York. Her research interests include juvenile defense and her teaching interests include juvenile justice and law and society.

Wayne Warrick joins the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Physics as an acting instructor. Warrick obtained a bachelor's and master's degree in physics and computer engineering, both from Rutgers University, as well as another master’s in electrical and computer engineering from Rowan University. His teaching interests include engineering and physics and his areas of research include solid-state physics and analog circuit design and analysis, plasmonic surface resonance from nano-particle assemblies and light trapping structures for improved solar cell efficiency, as well as dynamic nano-friction analysis on polymer substrates using atomic force microscopy.
