Chart out your spring and summer reading while helping Westminster Conservatory when you shop at Barnes & Noble on Saturday, May 1. That day, a portion of all sales, accompanied by a Barnes & Noble/Westminster Conservatory Bookfair voucher, will be donated to the Conservatory.
It’s all part of Westminster Conservatory’s 40th Anniversary celebration, when the Conservatory will present special programs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Barnes & Noble store at Princeton MarketFair, located on Rt. 1, at Meadow Road, in Princeton Township. The daylong program will include performances by three choirs and children’s voice classes; flute, cello and viola ensembles; and Young Artist Program ensembles, as well as a children’s music theater preview. The anniversary celebration will also feature early-childhood family music-making time and a Suzuki violin play-down. The day will conclude with a special tribute to Westminster Conservatory faculty members Laurie Altman and Jeannine Hummel.
Bookfair vouchers can be downloaded from the Conservatory’s Web site, and are also available at all Conservatory extension sites. Those forgetting their vouchers can simply mention “Westminster Conservatory” at the Barnes & Noble checkout to ensure that a portion of their purchase will be contributed to the Conservatory.
If you can’t get to a Barnes & Noble store on May 1, you can still be a part of the Bookfair, as Barnes & Noble will contribute 10 percent of every online sale between May 1 and May 5 to Westminster Conservatory. To participate go to bn.com/bookfairs and enter Bookfair ID number 10137719 on the payment page during checkout.
Funds raised through the Bookfair will support student scholarships and faculty development. For more information, contact Hester M. Null at Westminster Conservatory at [email protected] or 609-921-7104, ext. 8259.
