Win marks University's first time at the organization's international conference
Rider University’s DECA chapter took home four medals during its first International Career Development Conference (ICDC), which took place in Anaheim, Calif., in April 2017.
Six members from Rider University’s DECA Chapter participated in ICDC, where thousands of DECA members from across the globe competed against each other in a wide variety of business-related competitions, include accounting, marketing, fashion, hospitality and more. In addition to its business competitions, ICDC offered career readiness workshops that aimed to help those in attendance be more prepared for the professional world.
Rider DECA Vice President Benjamin Kraml placed in “Banking Financial Services." The win came as DECA celebrates 70 years of membership. The world’s largest educational organization, DECA is comprised of students, teachers and business professionals, giving thousands of members each year the ability to prepare for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.
