Mezzo-soprano Susan Gaylord is a versatile performer and a dedicated teacher who is equally at home on the operatic, oratorio and symphonic stages, as well as in more intimate venues where a pianist or a small ensemble are her musical partners. Ms. Gaylord began her vocal studies at the School of Music of Converse College where she graduated with highest honors in vocal performance, followed by two years in the graduate program for opera studies at the Manhattan School of Music. Carmen is just one of the many operatic roles she has performed in America’s regional opera houses and in symphonic concert.

Ms. Gaylord has a passionate commitment to teaching and has 20 years of experience in vocal instruction. She is the vocal director for the Blue Mountain Festival, serves the private instruction programs of The Lawrenceville School and The Pennington School, and maintains a private voice studio.
