2021 Mazzotti Awards in Women’s Leadership Recipients
Kim Barberich, Executive Director, Career Development and Success, will attend the Women’s Leadership Program offered by Yale School of Management. Kim seeks to strengthen students’ connections between their academic studies and their future careers, focusing particular attention on at-risk and underserved students, helping them find community in their college experience, build resilience and move into positions of leadership in their professional lives.
Kristine Brown, Associate Vice President for Marketing and Communications, will attend the HERS Leadership Institute. The Higher Education Resource Services (HERS) is a leadership development and research organization dedicated to creating and sustaining a diverse network of women leaders in higher education. Through her participation, Kristine intends to become a champion of change, helping to create the path and vision required to sustain Rider long into the future while also working to refine her mentoring and coaching skills to better identify, foster and nurture Rider’s future leaders.
Elizabeth Carrion, Executive Assistant to the Dean, Norm Brodsky College of Business, will attend Prospanica’s Leadership Summit or the Leadership Track within its Conference and Career Expo. Prospanica empowers Hispanic professionals to achieve their full educational, economic and social potential. Liz will use the experience to launch the 20K Stories Project through which Hispanic faculty, staff and allies will share their personal stories as they inspire Hispanic students to complete their educational journeys and embark on their professional careers.
Courtney Sledge, Former Manager of Campaign Volunteers and Executive Assistant to the Vice President for University Advancement, will attend Women in Leadership: Perspective, Performance, Perception at the Columbia Business School. Through her participation, Courtney will expand alumni and volunteer engagement and build meaningful connections with donors, alumni and friends in support of the University’s comprehensive campaign and in further development of a culture of philanthropy at Rider.
