The waning days of October also signaled the end of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which came to an exciting close with the annual Zeta Tau Alpha sorority Tricky Tray Basket Auction on October 30.

The Rider University field hockey team, the 2011 champion of the Northeast Conference, will take an eight mile trip up Rt. 206 to face Mercer County rival Princeton University, the 2011 Ivy League champion with the winner advancing to the NCAA Field Hockey Championship Tournament this coming weekend. The All-Mercer County battle will take place Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Princeton's Class of '52 stadium.

Rider’s Koppelman Holocaust and Genocide Resource Center will sponsor an airing of the documentary ‘A Class Divided’ on Wednesday, November 9, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Sweigart Auditorium.

Rider students had the opportunity to impress prospective employers on November 3 at the Fall Career Fair, sponsored by Career Services. Some 80 employers flocked to the Cavalla Room to meet students in search of full-time jobs, internships and co-ops.

Dr. William McCarroll, professor emeritus from the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Physics at Rider University, was recently honored for his contributions to chemistry and the American Chemical Society (ACS) by being named a 2011 ACS Fellow.

Rider students provide outreach to the Princeton community and assist individuals with their food stamp applications.
