Through hard work and determination, Puneet Joshi ’12 of Chandigarh, India, finds his American dream.

Dr. Maureen Maguire ’75, a top ophthalmologist at the University of Pennsylvania, and Dr. Aaron Gast, trustee emeritus at the Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation, will receive honorary degrees at Rider’s 147th Commencement ceremonies. Dr. Morten Lauridsen, Distinguished Professor of Composition at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music, will be similarly honored at the Westminster Choir College ceremony.

Fresh off an NEC Championship, Rider’s field hockey program also captured first prize in Rider’s second annual Raise Your Game Athletics Fundraising Challenge, sponsored by the Department of Athletics.

In his two newest books, Dr. Don Ambrose, professor of Graduate Education, takes on the destructive influence of dogmatism through a multidisciplinary approach to research.

The lecture begins at 7 p.m. in the BLC Cavalla Room on Thursday, April 19.

More than 500 people of varied political stripes turned out to hear Republican strategist Karl Rove’s thoughts on the 2012 presidential election. Rove was a guest of Rider’s Rebovich Institute for New Jersey Politics.
