Veteran New York sports media columnist Phil Mushnick told students that the best play is to always deal with readers and viewers in good faith during a visit to the Lawrenceville campus on November 16.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, the Rider community embraced the opportunity to help the surrounding area’s less fortunate through a number of service projects during its annual Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.

Freeman Dyson of the Institute for Advanced Study was a recent guest in a Baccalaureate Honors Program seminar, entitled The Universe and the Origin of Life.

Rider University welcomed 61 new Andrew J. Rider Scholars at its annual Founder’s Day celebration on Saturday, November 5. Dr. Joel C. Philips delivered a stirring faculty address, urging students to rise above a culture that too often values homogeneous mediocrity.

Navarrow Wright ’93 mentored a group of eight African-American entrepreneurs who traveled to Silicon Valley in order to seek venture capital investments in the CNN documentary ‘Black in America.’ He spoke about the experience at a prescreening of the program on November 10 in the Fireside Lounge.
