Business programs recognized for excellence
by Adam Grybowski
Rider University once again received favorable rankings this year on U.S. News’ annual list of best online programs.
Of the more than 1,600 online programs surveyed, Rider ranked No. 126 on the list of best online master's degree programs in business that are not Master of Business Administration programs. Rider’s online MBA program ranked at No. 251.
Regionally accredited institutions whose programs are offered mostly or entirely online were evaluated. Rider’s Norm Brodsky College of Business has prestigious dual business and accounting accreditation from the AACSB International, making Rider one of only 2% of programs worldwide to hold such a distinction.
“These rankings speak to Rider's deep roots in delivering a highly valuable business education to students and professionals seeking to advance their careers,” says Rider’s provost and vice president of academic affairs, Dr. DonnaJean Fredeen. "The quality of our programs, whether online or on-ground, deliver a highly valuable education that makes a measurable difference in our students' careers."
Although many programs temporarily adopted an online format because of the coronavirus pandemic, only predominantly online degree programs, from entry to completion, were included in the rankings. Degree programs delivered temporarily online did not qualify.
Rider has offered an MBA program for more than 50 years, and its industry-aligned Master of Accountancy program has long delivered an education that prepares graduates to pass their CPA and other accounting licensure or certificate exams. These online programs offer the same degrees and the same curriculum but through asynchronous courses, so that students can pursue their education without disruption to their schedule. The programs can be typically completed in two years or less, and students can start at six different times during the year to provide maximum flexibility.
“We are very proud to offer these long-standing programs online so that even those with busy lives can take advantage of all that Rider has to offer on their own schedule,” Freeden says.
