For the sixth consecutive year, Rider University was honored for its commitment to engaged, experiential learning by Colleges of Distinction, a prominent guide for college-bound students.
In addition to the national listing, the University was also recognized among other New Jersey institutions and private colleges, with special accolades for its preparation of business and education students, support for international, veteran and active-duty military students, and dedication to career development and equity and inclusion.
“Because of our deeply committed community, Rider students build their futures with a network of support from day one,” says Dr. Kelly Bidle, provost and vice president of Academic Affairs. “We are honored to be recognized for our steadfast commitment to student success both inside and outside of the classroom.”
Colleges of Distinction uses a unique evaluating criteria known as the four distinctions: engaged students, great teaching, vibrant community and successful outcomes. Through extensive research and interviews, Colleges of Distinction identifies institutions that make a meaningful impact on students’ lives.
“Rider University has crafted a campus culture where students are empowered to take ownership of their learning,” says Tyson Schritter, chief operating officer at Colleges of Distinction. “Its programs reflect the kind of innovation and intentionality that prepare students for life after graduation.”
Rider is regularly ranked highly by the most prestigious publications for academic excellence, including U.S. News & World Report and The Princeton Review.
