by Rachel Stengel '14, '20
Rider University was once again recognized by The Princeton Review for its outstanding academics. The University was named to the Princeton Review's Best Colleges rankings for 2023.
Rider was among the top 388 colleges and universities in the U.S. and was also recognized as a 'Best Northeastern' institution. Only approximately 14% of America’s four-year colleges are highlighted in the rankings.
"A Rider education is grounded in one principle — the best way to learn is by doing," says Dr. DonnaJean A. Freeden, provost and vice president of Academic Affairs. "Our students excel in their chosen areas of expertise by combining the strength of our academic programs with real-world experiences."
Rider provides students the freedom to explore their passions and interests with more than 100 majors and minors. Rider's signature Engaged Learning Program requires students to complete experiences that combine their academic, career and personal interests. Students can partake in internships, study abroad, research, community outreach and more to fulfill their graduation requirements.
"Our selection of the colleges in this book is based on our opinion of their academic offerings," says Rob Franek, editor-in-chief of The Princeton Review. "We recommend each one as an academically outstanding choice for an applicant."
The Princeton Review's rankings are derived from surveys of 160,000 students attending the 388 schools in its flagship college guide. Since 1992, the annual Best Colleges guide has showcased the schools the publication recommends to applicants and their parents as nation’s best for undergraduate academics.
