Other changes include additional menu options

Rider University is expanding hours of operation across campus, including at dining and recreational facilities.
In Dining Services, Jersey Mike’s will now operate on weekends, open both Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Pub bar is now open on Thursdays and Fridays from 5 to 10 p.m. and to-go dining in the Pub is now operating on Sundays from 4:30 to 9 p.m.
The Schimek Family Fitness Center in the Student Recreation Center is now open until 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through the end of the semester, making the weekly hours of operation Monday-Thursday , 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Fridays, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sundays , 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Student Recreation Center Lobby and Atrium will now be open until 9 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
Additionally, menu changes and other new offerings are now being implemented, highlighted by Daly Dining Hall now offering meat alternatives such as vegan sausage, tofu scrambles and a vegan black bean burger, weekly offerings of fresh seafood and daily-made fresh fruit cups. Plant-based proteins will also be available at Cranberry’s Cafe for Sonos and Create.
Many of these changes are the result of feedback from students, including meetings with the Student Government Association as well as staff from Residence Life.
“It is of paramount importance to keep an open dialog with students all year round as it pertains to dining offerings,” says Assistant Vice President of Auxiliary Services Andrew Pignataro. “This is especially true during the pandemic. Students need to know they have a voice and that it is being heard.”
Dining Services welcomes more communication, and offers several ways to submit feedback. Among them, follow Rider Dining on Instagram @rider_eats or email [email protected]. Chattback, an anonymous texting service, is also available in specific venues: Use 609-375-1358 for Daly’s, 609-375-1343 for Cranberry’s and 609-375-1747 for Starbucks. Chattback text messages are monitored by Dining Service Management in real time during hours of operation.
