Listen to the conversation below.
As the 2022 spring semester comes to a close, for Drew Aromando '94, '01 and his enrollment management team, this time of year signals that the work is just beginning.
On April 19, Aromando, Rider’s Vice President of Enrollment management and graduate, sat down with graduate student Ethan Duer to discuss in a long-form setting a wide range of topics and insights into the enrollment side of the University. While the conversation contains valuable information for both current and potential future Broncs, various topics of the community on campus, the current state of enrollment, college affordability, Rider’s Lifting Barriers initiative and more offer listeners fascinating insights into the current state of the University.
For Aromando and his team, the spring time is met with equal amounts of excitement and anticipation, especially for the amount of influence they have had for the students on campus. As a group of Rider graduates complete their four year journey, just a mere months away a new set of students prepare to embark into this community with a chance to make it their own-in large part made possible by the enrollment management team.
With audio of the conversation available via the link above, listeners should find the conversation with Aromando both insightful and informative, with a chance to learn more about Rider’s enrollment programs and more from one of the best sources on campus.
His own Rider experiences…
“Being a Rider graduate, and now working here for 22 years, when I think of this university it is something very personal and important to me...when I first got here I was unaware that I would build such lifelong relationships, such a foundation here that has lasted now professionally for a long time.”
What Rider represents…
“For me Rider comes down to one word: community. This community at Rider has such a focus on the core values of development, coaching, the ‘prepared in all things’-it really understands that it takes way more than just yourself to more forward”
On affordability…
“Affordability has now become the most important factor in deciding where a potential student will apply, closely followed by academics and career preparations and outcomes. Especially here at Rider, we know how much value for price factors in, which is what we try to tackle with our Lifting Barriers initiative…While everyone’s financial set of circumstances is different-we have the tools in place to help each scenario.”
