The Rider University women's outdoor track & field team compiled a team grade point average of 3.40 this spring, earning United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team honors.
"The women have continued to excel in the classroom every year," said Rider head coach Bob Hamer. "This year they took it to another level and I am real proud of their academic successes."
The academic award for the outdoor team gives the Rider women a sweep for the year, after the cross country and indoor track & field teams were also honored by the USTFCCCA for their grade point averages.
The outdoor track & field team had 17 athletes, not including freshmen, earn Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic team honors.
