Drew Rosenhaus, owner of the Miami-based Rosenhaus Sports Representation, will speak to Rider students, faculty and staff in the Bart Luedeke Center Cavalla Room on Tuesday, April 5, at 8 p.m. Rosenhaus’ appearance is sponsored by the Student Entertainment Council.

Professional football’s most visible and successful agent, Rosenhaus represents more than 80 active players, the most of any agent in the National Football League.  A graduate of the University of Miami and Duke University Law School, he established Rosenhaus Sports Representation in 1988 following his graduation from Miami at just 22 years old, making him the sport’s youngest registered agent at the time.

A native of South Orange, N.J., Rosenhaus has negotiated over $1 billion in contracts since 1993, for players at every position and with every NFL team. Among his active clients are DeSean Jackson, Terrell Owens, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, Jeremy Shockey and Willis McGahee. The resourceful Rosenhaus has brokered several record-breaking pacts and innovative endorsement deals, setting the precedent for the sports industry. Last year, Sports Business Journal named Rosenhaus the best in the NFL agent industry for proven excellence.

Since establishing his career, Rosenhaus has consistently been able to have NFL teams “show me the money,” a phrase popularized by the 1996 feature film Jerry Maguire. In it, Rosenhaus the character of Bob Sugar, portrayed by Jay Mohr, was inspired by Rosenhaus. The agent actually did appear in the 1999 football flick Any Given Sunday, and also played himself in the HBO sports-comedy series Arli$$ and an ESPN “This is SportsCenter” commercial.
