For the second year in a row, the Rider University Cheerleaders claimed the National Championship at the American Cheer and Dance Reach the Beach All Star & College National Championship, held on April 6 and 7 in Ocean City, Md. The team now holds the back-to-back National Championship titles in the College Co-ed Level 6 division, placing first on both days of the competition two years in a row.
Competitors in the two-day competition were judged on their skills in stunts, tumbling, jumps, and dance, with criteria that included difficulty, execution, synchronization and the level of skills.
The Broncs earned their grand championship by topping squads from six other institutions: Penn State-Altoona, Cornell University, Princeton University, SUNY-Brockport and York College.
