The Faculty Lecture Series is proud to announce its first event of the year. Dr. Todd Weber, Associate Professor of Biology & Behavioral Neuroscience, will present What Time is It? I forget! Investigations into jet lag and chemo brain, on Wednesday, October 20, at 4:30 p.m. in the Yvonne Theater.
The lecture will cover the effects of jet lag on the brains of mammals and will discuss recent research on "jetlagless" mice, which are being used as a model organism to further study this timekeeping system and will hopefully assist in developing interventions for world travelers. Dr. Weber will also discuss his findings on "chemo brain," a syndrome of cognitive and affective dysfunctions, such as memory loss and depression, that persist in patients subjected to chemotherapy.
Discussion and refreshments will follow.
