University offers educational advancement opportunities for school district employees
On April 18, Rider University and Freehold Borough Public Schools reaffirmed their relationship by signing a formal agreement that provides educational advancement and engaged learning opportunities for Freehold Borough Public School employees.
Rider provides a 20 percent tuition reduction for all undergraduate and part-time graduate on-campus and online programs for Freehold Borough Public School employees. The partnership is especially beneficial to educators as Rider offers a variety of courses in teacher leadership, principal leadership, STEM, ESL and special education.
"We are pleased to offer robust educational opportunities for Freehold Borough Public School employees," says Rider President Gregory G. Dell’Omo, Ph.D. "With more than 70 undergraduate programs and over 40 graduate programs, employees can find the academic plan that works for their career goals."
Dell’Omo was joined by Dr. Rocco G. Tomazic, Borough of Freehold Public Schools superintendent, to sign the partnership agreement at Freehold Borough Public Schools. Freehold Mayor J. Nolan Higgins provided remarks along with Provost and and Vice President for Academic Affairs DonnaJean A. Freeden. The signing ceremony included demonstrations by Olympic table tennis player Lily Yip and the school's yo-yo club.
"Freehold Borough has been most fortunate to partner with Rider University on a number of very significant educational grants," Tomazic says. "This association has been most beneficial to our teachers and students. We are very pleased to move this ongoing partnership forward so that we can work even closer in the future."
