University offers discounted educational advancement opportunities
On May 1, Rider University and Mercer County formalized a tuition assistance agreement.
Rider will now provide a 20 percent tuition reduction for all undergraduate and part-time graduate on-campus and online programs for Mercer County employees. Rider offers more than 70 undergraduate programs and over 40 graduate programs.
"As a member of the Mercer County community, Rider is always looking for ways to give back. This agreement allows us to provide educational advancement opportunities to our neighbors and help them achieve their professional development goals," said Rider President Gregory G. Dell’Omo, Ph.D.
Dell’Omo was joined by County Executive for Mercer County Brian M. Hughes at Rider to sign the agreement.
"Educational attainment is a priority, and this partnership with Rider University offers another pathway for Mercer County employees to either start or return to college," Hughes said. "I believe education is one of the most important factors to our region’s success, and this agreement gives our employees one more option to map out a course toward earning a bachelor’s or master’s degree and in turn, improve their quality of life and strengthen the Mercer County community."
